Reasons for uneven mercerization of yarn

The reasons for uneven mercerization and mercerization of yarns are mainly as follows:

①The mercerized yarn is unevenly scoured, impermeable, poorly degreased, not washed cleanly after scouring, uneven capillary effect, excessively long stacking time after scouring, and mercerizing in the order of scouring pots.

② Before mercerizing, the yarn blanks have uneven water content, and are partially damp or dry. After dehydration, the yarn blanks are stacked for too long, and the surface is exposed to sunlight or partially air-dried.

③ When the yarns are sorted out and flattened on the machine, there are phenomena such as unframed, broken ends, large and small twists, and overlapping yarns.

④The rollers of the mercerizing machine run unevenly, the rubber pressing rollers are uneven or the main shaft is bent, the left and right tensions of the two rollers are different, and the circle length between the machines is inconsistent.

⑤ The acid concentration in the acid tank is too high, and the pickling time is too short.

⑥ The concentration of the supplementary lye is too high, the alkali stirring is uneven, the alkali temperature is different, and the yarn is stacked for a long time after it is off the machine, and it is not washed in time.

⑦The yarn is uneven, the viscosity is inconsistent, and the coil length is different.

⑧ Mercerized yarns have different intervals before dyeing, and different batches are mixed for use.
