Liyuan Fiber--Classification of Yarn

1. According to the structure and shape

Divided into filament yarn, spun yarn, special yarn.

(1) Filament yarn

1. Monofilament: a single filament

2. Multifilament: A tow composed of multiple filaments, which is further divided into untwisted multifilament and twisted multifilament.

3. Composite twisted yarn: Twisted multifilament yarns are combined and twisted one or more times.

4. Textured yarns: elastic or highly bulky yarns made of synthetic fibers that plasticize and deform when heated. For example: network yarn, elastic yarn

(2) Staple yarn

By structure

(1) Single yarn

Short fibers are bundled into strands and twisted.

(2) Strands

It consists of two or more single yarns combined and twisted.

(3) Twisted strands (cables)

Composed of two or more strands combined and twisted, such as a cable.

(3) Filament/staple fiber combination or composite yarn

1. Wrap yarn

The outer circumference of an untwisted fiber bundle (staple or filament) is helically wrapped around the spun yarn or filament. Such as cotton fiber outsourcing silk.

2. Core yarn

Short fibers are covered on a filament core, eg cotton/spandex core, polyester/cotton core yarn (for the production of burnt-out cloth).

3. Filament/staple plied yarn

It consists of filament yarns and spun yarns twisted in parallel.

(4) fancy yarn

It is made of twisted core yarn, decorative yarn and covered yarn.

Core yarn: located in the center of the yarn, providing strength;

Ornament: get fancy effect;

Fixed yarn: fixed pattern.

2. According to the types of fibers that make up the yarn

1. Pure spinning

Yarn spun from a fibrous material. Such as cotton yarn, wool yarn, etc.

2. Blended yarn

Yarn spun from two or more fibers. The advantages of both fibers can be comprehensively utilized. like:

Polyester/cotton yarn (T/C yarn), the content of polyester is greater than that of cotton.

CVC yarn, Chief Value of Cotton, polyester-cotton blended yarn with cotton as the main component (or polyester-cotton blended yarn in reverse proportion).
